Green Advisor: “enhancing environmental sustainability of EU funded projects” is a 3 years Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in the field of Adult Education, that aims to lower the environmental CO2 footprint that the Erasmus+ and other International projects generate while being implemented.
Its main objective is to mainstream green practices in international projects, looking at the whole arc of project management/implementation activities by developing a self-assessment and strategic set of tools, including training resources and a tailor-made Carbon Footprint calculator, designed for project managers and participants of Erasmus+ activities, to measure their environmental footprint (impact) and, encourage them to acquire green transition competencies applied on EU project management to concretely put in place compensation/pre-emptive measures to balance the pollution/environmental impact produced in Erasmus+ transnational cooperation.
Finally, during the past 23rd and 24th of January 2023, the project kick-off meeting took place in the snowy city of Turku (Finland) and, during this occasion the 6 project Partners were able to discuss in detail all the next planned activities and digital tools that will be soon available for Project Managers of EU Funded and International projects, Adult Educators, as well as staff from NGOs or Start-ups, Volunteers, participants and newcomers, within the Erasmus+ programme and also other international cooperation activities.
As an anticipation, please check out the brand-new project Facebook page and website, available in English, Icelandic, Spanish, Italian, Turkish and Finnish language:
